Online Presentation Support
MTPC’s Digital Learning Studio is re-configured to support online presentation via Zoom and other platforms. Our setup will reproduce the experiences of physical presentation space. Speakers can present lively with studio lighting, backdrop, PowerPoint, whiteboard or even light-board. Online participants will see the gesture, movement and interactivities of presenters captured by cameraman instead of talking head by webcam. New Digital Printing System
To enable smarter and environmentally friendly printing at HKUST, MTPC installed the Fuji Xerox Iridesse color digital printing system at Printshop. Supporting 5 color + varnishing and a printing size up to 1200mm x 317mm, the system can provide cost-effective printing with fast turnaround and reduced carbon footprint.
With this new system, more printing jobs can be handled in-house at significantly lower cost. It is particularly fit for short-run and on-demand printing tasks such as official reports, customized stationery, leaflet, brochure and event banners. It will also support the growing demand for dissertation printing, course notes and exam paper with color contents.

Online Name Card Ordering and Printing
To support the demand for name card printing due to the change of job titles in the University and to make use of the new color digital printing system, MTPC will offer an in-house name card printing service starting in 2020.
The new service supports online ordering, data input, layout preview and approval through MTPC’s Work Request System. It will shorten printing time to two to three working days and lower printing cost by 20%. The system, which will be in 100% compliance with HKUST name card standard, also supports the adding of QR code and official photo of the name card owner. Colleagues are most welcome to try this speedy name card printing services.

myRVC Web App
myRVC is a new app developed by MTPC's RVC team. Optimized for mobile phones, myRVC is a web app that allows users to check real-time status of their RVC recording anytime and anywhere. The status reflects the flow of RVC: 1. “Scheduled”; 2. “Recording”; 3. “Processing”; 4. “Viewable” or 5. “Cancelled”. Users can confirm video capturing if status is “Recording” or view their videos directly via the web app if the status is “Viewable”.
